In a time of healing and connecting to my own womanhood, dying my hair has been an area of empowerment. Connecting to the colour pink, the colour that I have distanced myself from the most, as growing up we are told being “girly” is a weakness. In adulthood I have embraced my own womanhood, finding strength in reclaiming these negative connotations for my own sense of power and femininity.
